We developed the Passport 2 Employment program (P2E) to support school students living with a disability or other challenges overcome barriers to participating in their community and the workforce.

The P2E program focusses on improving communication and life skills needed for employment, as well as supporting students to explore pathways into further education and to participate in their community.

P2E is a hands-on workshop style program, run weekly between an 8 – 11 week period during the school term.

The P2E program is usually coordinated by a nominated local agency and supported by a network of disability, education and community service providers in the local community.

Testimonials

Logan – P2E 2017

The P2E program helped me to really think about the work place and what skills I need to get better at it. The program showed me to be professional during a job interview and in the workplace. It gave me more confidence to go ask an industry (hospitality) about a job.

Nicole – P2E 2017

I feel more confident on how to present myself for an upcoming job interview.

Paige – P2E 2018

After I graduated from P2E I felt more confident about myself and also able to speak up for myself. I also feel I’ve improved my leadership skills.

Emma – P2E 2018

Since P2E I got a job in hospitality and also cleaning in the school holidays. P2E made me more open, I was a little shy before.
